Liberty Week: Poppy Meadowfield
From one of Liberty's most celebrated floral prints, Poppy Dawn brings a new perspective to a much-loved design.
Liberty's Poppy Dawn takes its inspiration from Poppy and Daisy, one of the house's most recognisable floral designs. With its delicate meadow flowers and distinctive botanical forms, the original print reflects Liberty's long tradition of drawing inspiration from the natural world.
The design belongs to a rich heritage of floral prints dating back to the 1930s, when Liberty artists captured the simple beauty of wildflowers and garden blooms in intricate pencil drawings.

For the House Florals collection, Liberty revisited these familiar motifs, reworking archival designs for contemporary interiors. Poppy Meadowfield offers a fresh interpretation of Poppy and Daisy, retaining its delicate outlines while introducing a renewed sense of colour and scale.
The Poppy Dawn throw takes this interpretation a step further. The original floral has been simplified into a two-tone silhouette and translated into a woven wool design, giving the familiar pattern a more graphic, contemporary appearance.
Finished with soft fringed edges, the throw combines the warmth and texture of wool with the decorative character for which Liberty is so well known.
