The Perrault Guide No. 15
Patricia, by Liberty.
An archival floral inspired by ancient Tree of Life artworks, Patricia captures Liberty's enduring fascination with pattern, colour and the decorative arts. Reimagined in Italian wool, it brings a little of the celebrated London design house into the home.
Few names are as synonymous with the art of pattern as Liberty. Since opening its doors on London's Regent Street in 1875, the celebrated emporium has become a destination for extraordinary textiles, decorative objects and designs collected from around the world. At the heart of its identity is an exceptional archive of prints, each telling a story of artistic inspiration, craftsmanship and the enduring appeal of beautiful design.

Originally created by Liberty's in-house studio in the 1990s, Patricia is a richly stylised floral inspired by ancient Tree of Life artworks. Intricate botanical forms intertwine across the design, reflecting the decorative traditions that have informed Liberty's distinctive visual language for generations.
The print forms part of Liberty's Modern Archive Collection, a celebration of the house's remarkable design heritage. Drawing inspiration from the treasures and curiosities that have long filled Liberty's wood-panelled interiors, the collection revisits archival patterns through six evocative colour stories, reinterpreting them for contemporary homes.

For the Patricia Wool Throw, the intricate floral is translated into a beautifully woven textile, crafted in Italy from pure wool. Generously proportioned and finished with fringed edges, the throw balances the richness of its historic inspiration with the softness and warmth of natural fibres.
Draped over the arm of a favourite chair, layered across a sofa or placed at the foot of a bed, Patricia is a reminder that the most compelling interiors are often those that bring together pieces with a story to tell.
